Fatemeh Motamed Aria, One of Cannes Movie Festival's Coach

Fatemeh Motamed-Arya ( born 29 October 1961, in Tehran) is a multi-award winning[1] Iranian actress. Motamed-Arya received her degree in Arts from Tehran University. She first got involved in Theater during her teen years. She emerged as one of the most celebrated actresses of Post-revolutionary Iranian cinema. She has been nominated nine times for best actress at the Fajr International Film Festival and won the Crystal Simorgh four times.

Political Views
Motamd Arya was a supporter of former Iranian president Mohammad Khatami and has been a supporter of 2009 Iranian presidential candidate Mir-Hossein Mousavi.
Fatemeh Motamed Arya was invited to be in Los Angeles as part of a film seminar series on Iranian films. It was reported that Iran barred Motamed-Arya and another filmmaker from leaving Iran because of their political activities.
