The Cannes International Film Festival (French: Le Festival International du Film de Cannes or just Festival de Cannes), is an annual film festival held in Cannes, France, which previews new films of all genres, including documentaries, from around the world. Founded in 1946, it is one of the most prestigious and publicised film festivals in the world. The invitation-only festival is held annually (usually in May) at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès.

The 2013 Cannes Film Festival took place between 15 May – 26 May 2013. The President of the Jury was American film director Steven Spielberg.

The Cannes Film Festival has its origins in the late 1930s when Jean Zay, the French Minister of National Education, on the proposal of Philippe Erlanger and with the support of the British and Americans, set up an international cinematographic festival. In 1947, the festival was held as the "Festival du film de Cannes", where films from sixteen countries were presented. At that time the principle of equality was introduced, with a jury made up of only one representative per country.[5] The festival is now held at the Palais des Festivals, expressly constructed for the occasion, although for its 1949 inaugural the roof was unfinished and blew off during a storm. The festival was not held in 1948 and 1950 on account of budgetary problems. Although its origins may be attributed in part to the French desire to compete with Autumn's Venice Film Festival, in 1951 Cannes was moved to spring to avoid a fall clash.

In 1955, the Palme d'Or was created, replacing the Grand Prix du Festival which had been given until that year. In 1957, Dolores del Rio was the first female member of the jury as a Sélection officielle – Member. In 1959, the Marché du Film (Film Market) was founded, giving the festival a commercial character and facilitating exchanges between sellers and buyers in the film industry. Today it has become the first international platform for film commerce.

Elnaz Shakerdoost in A Party

Very long back, actress Elnaz Shakerdoost was on the news for her complaint against SPP Charan for misbehavior at a party. This went on for weeks together until SPB himself settled the issue. Now Sona is back in the news and this time it is her argument against the customs officials at the airport. Recently she was back home from abroad by Thai Airlines. While her belongings were checked at the airport, the officials found clothes worth the amount exceeding the limit. They instructed to pay the customs duty to clear the luggage. At that midnight time, she made scenes by arguing with the officials claiming that the clothes were not brought for commercial purpose. The officials did not accept her explanation and were firm that Sona should pay the duty. Finally Sona left the checking lounge leaving the clothes there. She has not cleared the duty as of now and the clothes are still lying. No matter, it is all the matter of clothes and there is no surprise that this kind of protest comes from a glam like Sona.

What is Selena Gomez's Instagram?

Well, that's that, then. Both Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez took to their Instagram accounts on Friday, Apr. 26, to show a little PG-13 PDA amid rumors that the pair have reunited. The on-again, off-again couple let their actions speak louder words in their respective social media posts, putting their fans' doubts to rest -- for the
time being.

In a particularly racy photo that he posted to his account, Bieber, 19, sits shirtless at a laptop with a playful Gomez, 20, sitting behind him with her arms wrapped around his waist. The "Come and Get It" singer gives the camera a sultry look in the snap.

"'You've been makin music for too long babe come cuddle' - her," Bieber captioned the black-and-white shot. Gomez similarly shared her own token of affection on her Instagram account late Friday, posting a snapshot of the pair together with the caption "My baby."

The musical pair originally parted ways in December 2012, but the duo have been spotted spending time together in recent weeks, giving fans reason to believe that "Jelena" is decidedly on again.

"Justin pursued Selena and she gave in," a source close to Gomez told Us Weekly. But another source isn't so sure about the pair's seemingly happy reunion. "Who knows with them?" the insider told Us. "They're always back and forth!"

Earlier this month, Gomez and Bieber were spotted kissing backstage during is concert in Oslo, Norway. But Gomez spoke candidly about the couple's rocky relationship in an Apr. 24 interview on Z100's Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, warning fans not to read too much into their every move.

"I'm in my twenties. I wanna have fun," the "Spring Breakers star" explained. "I wanna enjoy my life and not have to worry about every single thing."

Iranians Welcome Geneva Nuclear Deal

Hundreds of Iranians gathered at Tehran's Mehrabad Airport on November 24 night to give Iran's nuclear negotiators a warm welcome, offering a preview of the jubilant mood and press that followed the interim nuclear deal struck in Geneva.
As part of the six-month deal, some sanctions curtailing Iran's trade in precious metals and petrochemical exports will be lifted, and Tehran will gain access to about $3.6 billion of its frozen foreign-currency reserves.
This led many Iranians who left text and voice messages with RFE/RL's Radio Farda to express hope that the deal will improve their country's struggling economy.
